Last week, NVIDIA lifted the curtain on their latest top end GPU that could “play Crysis”. Of course, the GPU we’re talking about is the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X. While only a few of us from the PC Master Race will be able to afford to put one, let alone two of them, in the system build of our dreams, the good news is that NVIDIA will be helping to make them available for anyone that wants one. One of the first to announce that they’ll be putting them on the shelves is ZOTAC.
The performance of the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X is definitely top rank. It bests any single GPU solution from both AMD and their own stables. Even the GeForce GTX 980 seems distant. ZOTAC will be trotting out their version with very few changes from what NVIDIA has intended. The cards will effectively be vanilla in this latest release. After all, it’s hard to top perfection.
If you need 12GBs of GDDR5 and 8 billion transistors in your system, then you’ll want to start looking for the ZOTAC GeForce GTX Titan X on the shelves soon. And since everyone is going vanilla in this release, performance between the ZOTAC version and others will be fairly comparable.
Because the first cards going out are vanilla, this also means that the bundle you get with the card will also be fairly spartan, as you can see in the photos above. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, and ZOTAC does tend to have one of the more price competitive versions out there with most GPU launches. So in the neighborhood of $999 US or less. Unfortunately, when asked about two for one deals, neither ZOTAC nor NVIDIA were willing to comment.
