Have you ever wanted an extra monitor that you could take with you when you work on those TPS reports at Starbucks? This new AOC USB monitor could be just the ticket. Delivering both power and signal over a single USB 3.0 connection to your laptop (or desktop), the memorably-named AOC I1659FWUX doesn't even need a power cable. How convenient is that?
Roughly the same dimensions as an equivalently-sized laptop, the AOC I1659FWUX features a 15.6-inch IPS display (marketed as a 16-inch screen) with full HD resolution, 220 cd/m2 brightness, 700:1 contrast ratio, and a convenient built-in kickstand for both portrait and landscape orientations.
Since it utilizes an IPS panel, this AOC USB monitor provides 160 degree viewing angles both vertically and horizontally, making it an ideal secondary screen for boosting productivity. They say you can use it for video editing and photo retouching too, but based on my experience with DisplayLink before, your mileage may vary.
The AOC I1659FWUX USB monitor is available now on Amazon for $149.90. It even comes with a convenient carrying case. Full press release with tech specs below.
