We took the afternoon off to go hang with Tuan from ZOTAC who recently received their brand new ZOTAC ZBOX AD02 Plus Mini-PC. While it looks similar to the early MAG series on the outside, these low powered mini-PCs use an AMD Fusion E350 1.6GHz APU on the inside. The ZBOX AD02 comes in two flavors, the vanilla AD02 and the AD02 Plus. The difference is that the AD02 Plus comes with a 250GB hard drive and 2GB DDR3 memory. Check out our video below to see what makes this product so special…

As you can see from our video, this machine is small, sleek, and full featured. It comes with pretty much everything you need to get started if you opt for the ready to go PLUS version.

ZOTAC’s new ZBOX mini-PC series arsenal also includes the AD03BR and ADO3BR Plus models with similar hardware configurations, but with the addition of Blu-ray drives. The AD02 series does not. The great thing about both series is that they ship with the dual core AMD E350 1.6GHz APU along with the AMD Radeon HD 6310 integrated graphics processor. That means everyone can still enjoy flawless 1080p glory as well as native USB 3.0 for pushing those videos around.

One of the coolest things about the ZBOX is that it can sit on a shelf flat or stand up straight saving desk space. There’s even a VESA bracket included so you can mount it on the wall or to the back of your monitor or HDTV, saving even more room in the process.

The ZBOX ADO2s and ADO3s ship without operating system allowing you to decided which flavour of Windows 7 to go with. They are also very popular among system integrators. And with pricing starting at just $249 US for the barebones AD02, just add RAM and hard drive and away you go.  They should be on their way to store shelves now.
