In Win has been creating some pretty unique cases for quite some time. Including the D-Frame that we saw back at CES 2013 in January. Then in October, we got word from In Win about a pretty cool looking concept computer case. The tòu chassis features panels made from tempered glass with a reflective coating. Apparently tòu is the Chinese word for transparent, and the reason this name was picked becomes very obvious when you turn the system on.

Turns out the reflective coating on the In Win tòu is just a one-way mirror, and the case panels become completely transparent. The tòu case also includes a host of features you’d expect from any modern ATX case, including 2.5” and 3.5” storage mounts, a whole bunch of fans, and carrying handles for easy transport. Yes, transport of a case made of glass are not made of glass as that would be a little over the top. I’d be a little apprehensive about that part. Especially considering the MSRP of $799. Still, it does look quite cool and would give your machine a very unique look.

We’ll definitely be checking in with In Win at CES 2014 in Las Vegas this January to find out more about this case and some of the other unique designs they have in store for us. In the meantime, check out the press release and photos below.

Demonstrated at Computex 2013 to great acclaim, appropriately, tòu is the Chinese word for Transparent, as the tòu’s reflective surface can be made instantly see through when lit from inside, with its integrated LED array.
