G.Skill is best known for their overclocking memory and just recently they announced plans to enter into the peripherals market for COMPUTEX 2015 with a new line of keyboards and mice. I’m sure that their line of headsets are not too far behind. But for now, you’ll the company is ending the product line extensions with their new Ripjaws power supplies, tying together the entire Ripjaws branded line up.
The new power supplies will initially come in sizes from 750 watts up to 1250 watts. The two lower end models (PS750G/PS850G) will be 80PLUS Gold certified, while the the two higher end models (PS850P/PS1250P) will get an 80PLUS Platinum certification.
Inside, G.Skill claims that the new Ripjaws power supplies will contain the highest quality parts including 100% Japanese capacitors, with an automated fan controller that they call G.Skill ECO Optimized. Basically, it provides zero fan noise during load operations, and will only spin up the 140mm fan inside when needed.
The designs will be entirely modular and will contain the whole gamut of protection inccluding OVP, UVP, OCP, OPP, SCP, OTP. While no prices have been announced, you can expect a very competitive price to break into the market.
