Nothing bad can really be said about an entry-level CPU cooler. They are always better than the stock coolers you get with your CPU. While it is great to get "better than stock," Scythe wants to give you a little better more bang for your buck with the new entry level Tatsumi CPU cooler.
The Scythe Tatsumi CPU cooler features a 450 gram (15.87 oz.) compact design with an included 92 mm fan. The PWM controlled fan has speeds from 300 RPM to 2500 RPM with an output of 6.70 to 55.5 CFM airflow, respectively. The air is spread over aluminum fins and three U-shaped 6 mm copper heatpipes. The entire assembly is attached to a nickel-plated base plate.
I know the description doesn't make it seem all that impressive. But you have to keep in mind the Tatsumi will attach to practically any socket and only cost $29.00 MSRP (21.60 EUR). We know from experience it is hard to find a decent cooler under $40, let alone $30. Well, it use to be hard to find as the Tatsumi is available now.
