I'm going to be buying a new monitor in the next few months. I've been debating weather to go with a 15" LCD or a 17"-19" Flat CRT.

I've already talked with Firewire a bit about this but I'm just looking for some opinions. Keep in mind that I am currently using the monitor from my old computer, which is a 3 year old 15" CRT.

So what would you do? 15" LCD or a 17"-19" CRT?

Personally, I'd go for the 17" -19" CRT because of the price and you can see things better
:p

I'd agree with amandabobanda on this one... getting a 17-19" CRT would be a better choice.

Now if you had enough for a 17" LCD on the other hand, the Samsung 770TFT is an excellent option (that's my primary display now).

I'd love to get a 17" LCD but I don't know really think I can justify spending that much on a monitor right now. Maybe I'll just wait a while longer and hope prices are more reasonable soon :)

For me I would have to go with the Samsung 24" LCD:

At this point, the price point for LCD is still not sweet enough - I am sure a 17 or 19 will get you by until the 18" LCDs are made affordable.

I will not look at anything that has a resolution lower than 1600 x 1200. LCD's at that price are out of the ballpark for me for the time being. My notebook goes up to 1600 x 1200. Looks like I will be sticking to it for the time being. I need my space...

I might just go out and buy another 21" CRT due to LCD pricing. My monitor is starting to go. :(
