"After using a Canon Powershot A60 digital camera for the past year or so, I was excited to hear about a new model for the A series cameras - the Powershot A80. The two features that stood out to me when I first learnt about the model was that it was 4.0MP (mega pixels) with a vari-angle LCD display."

Some Scathing Comments! Ouch! Shame they couldn't put into words what their displeasure was. Personally, I think most Digital Camera reviews are way too longwinded, and definitely turns off a lot of the new buyers. Tyler was challenged to make it short and to the point, but I guess the geeks are displeased. Can't make everyone happy all of the time.

Well someone talk to Canon. Sure I get the camera free for a whole week. And then have to make sure its shipped by a certain day. Though in the middle of packing, looking for a new place to live, moving, umm what else.. oh way and working more than 50hrs per week kinda gets in the way too ;)
Sure it could of done better, if I could actual use the camera for as long as I used other ones for :P
As for boring? Most reviews I read explain all the different intimate details of the camera, most people who will buy the camera aren't really going to care what fstop it will have, or what the focal length of the camera will be :P
Besides dpreview are for those more into the insides of the camera and not what the camera can do for ya, or they used to be *shrug*

No need to get all defensive ;)
I'm sure there were lots of others who liked it, too. After all, I had no complaints while editing it!!

Rosie's right. The DPReview crew are a pretty hostile bunch anyway. Don't pay them no nevermind.
