"Tried and true is the online gaming experience, ranging from fantasy worlds of knights and dragons to sci-fi cyberscapes full of technology and danger. Each game molded by different ideas and goals, making each unique in their own way. There have been attempts at anarchic open play games, but most of them have failed miserably. Well, that is until Second Life."

It's very disappointing that after all the hype and content on dozen of review sites and the company's own site, that as an experienced and avid MMORPG player and beta tester, you pull out the credit card to join, and at the last stage, small print you FINALLY find out that this game is ONLY FOR USA AND CANADA RESIDENTS.. and that 3/4 of us in the rest of the planet are NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY IT, or are considered unworthy, who knows.

Yes a bold vision of the future, and a free environment yes, BUT ONLY FOR NORTH AMERICANS.

WHY DO NO WEBSITE REVIEWS TELL YOU THIS AMAZING FACT?

Ooo... That's interesting. I wonder if that has anything to do with the new intellectual property protection that they put in to protect the user's creations in the digital realm? Maybe that protection only encompasses North America?
