Dammit its 10:30pt and I am craving sushi yet again!
I had some earlier today with one of my co-workers.. I think I am addicted to sushi! :) Hmm.. if I get a little bar fridge for work I could store my sunomono salad and my sashimi in there! :) :D

Ken
January 9th, 2002, 10:56 PM
Just watch the soy sauce, the salt intake is just insane with that stuff! But it tastes so good on rice and sushi.

Some of those places are just grungy for service. It's like they'll stop serving you or slow down if you're there eating too much. :D

I tried some orange shake from McD's in the summer and it was soooo disgusting...waaay too sweet, and it didn't taste like the ones I used to have. They've changed their milkshakes!!

chefboy
January 13th, 2002, 02:44 PM

Pooky
January 21st, 2002, 11:05 PM
Ooooh yes they do. I think the best thing they have there though is a mint-Oreo Blizzard!!! It's a staple of any summer vacation! Hmm, now I want one...:approve:

Mmm, but I finally got what I was craving for today: SAUSAGE ROLLS..they are so good.

But I still think that I'd really love a Caesar salad right about now..:p

RosieTulips
January 22nd, 2002, 09:58 PM
I've never had a sausage roll before...I don't have the urge to, either...are they that good??

chefboy
January 23rd, 2002, 02:29 PM
sausage rols are pretty good,, they are very fatening though cuz the grease from the sausage is cooked into the dough ....

Ken
January 23rd, 2002, 02:33 PM
I had an orange smoothie a while ago and it was super good! Better than ghetto bubbletea! :D

Ken
January 23rd, 2002, 02:34 PM
Oh yeah, I think I made my first ever bacon sandwich last night. Bacon good!

RosieTulips
January 23rd, 2002, 03:21 PM
Seems like I'll only have bacon if I go out for breakfast or something...I haven't cooked it in a loooong time.

I haven't had bubble tea in a looooong time. I'd really like some.

chefboy
January 23rd, 2002, 07:34 PM
I have never had bubble tea,, and I can eat bacon at work if I want to but I always choose pork sausage...

Sapphyre
January 23rd, 2002, 10:18 PM
Mmm....bacon....must..eat...bacon... too bad we don't eat meat at home (only when I'm out)

And I've never tried bubble tea either, although several of my friends are trying to convince me. It's not my fault I don't like lumps in me tea! Well, you gotta try everythng once, I suppose! :alien:

RosieTulips
January 23rd, 2002, 10:57 PM
I love bubble tea...except for the kinds that are flavoured with flavoured powder...and you don't have to get the "lumps" (i.e., pearls) although they're nice and chewy.

Bubble tea is called bubble tea because of the dome lids

:p I used to think it was called bubble tea because of the tapioca balls.

Ken
January 24th, 2002, 12:58 AM
Smoothies are better than bubble tea. The service at Estea is usually bad, and you end up smelling like smoke even if you're sitting in the non-smoking section. We always shoot the shiz there usually anyways. I like the strawberry bubble tea without perals though.

RosieTulips
January 24th, 2002, 09:28 AM
I always get takeout ... :)
I used to go to Banana Kingdom but they turned into a restaurant. Now I never know where to go :(

chefboy
January 25th, 2002, 10:00 AM
yeah,, I am craving ice - cream as well,,

RosieTulips
January 25th, 2002, 10:04 AM
Bubble tea originated in Taiwan. It's tea (black or green) that can be flavoured (with syrup/powder). And some people have it with "pearls" (chewy things made from yam and tapioca, ranging from the size of fragrant beads to small marbles). Then you drink this stuff from straws the diameter of a dime.

Of course my description doesn't really do it justice, but if you ever get a chance, you should try it!! It's almost like drinking some fruity drink.

I guess that's just one form of bubble tea. The tea doesn't even taste like tea, depending on the flavour and type.

I have seen it and it looks kinda funky :D
