View Full Version : Lego Fan?

Anyone a fan of Lego? I loved the stuff when I was young. I've been hunting for my big stash of Lego as I want to build a fortress at my desk here at work. If Lego had curves I could make the Deathstar! :P

I used to play with Lego...I hated getting the f lat pieces stuck together, because I could never take them apart!! I learned that even teeth would not help the situation. :o

My favourite was SPACE LEGO!

You could spend all day building ships and a base, only to be destroyed within minutes of an alien attack called rover ( my first pet dog).

LOL I like the reasoning for an alien attack,,, yeah my dad wasn't to impressed about the sore feet after stepping on the lego!

Ahh the joys of Lego. While babysitting some kids a few weeks ago, I noticed a little bag of Lego. Being a kid at heart, I decided to build a little castle. (the kids loved it). :)

For those who've read Microserfs by Douglas Coupland (definitely worth picking up), or for those who love computers...

"Lego is binary. With the little holes on the pieces its either yes or no." - Microserfs

Its not like you can go and stick the pieces together any which way you like.

One customer support centre that would be interesting to hear stories from is Lego themselves. :D

I used to be, until my other interests took over (namely, the stuff in my profile). For the Lego fanatics, Lego should just make packages containing all sorts of spare parts - they would have made even more money. Recently I've seen some crazy stuff build on the Mindstorm platform - a robot that solves the Rubik's cube?? I mean, I couldn't even solve that thing myself, and someone built a robot to solve that?? Mindstorm is a very interesting product, but I don't want to get into another potential money-gobbing hobby.

FIMO? What the heck is that?

Leap
December 18th, 2001, 03:11 PM
Fimo is like playdoh and plasticene... sp sucks... Except after you mold it you bake it in the oven and make it hard. Very cool. You can get it at craft shops, not sure if you can still get it though

chefboy

Fimo was awesome I remember making little animals like mice and stuff and playing with them like you would dolls. The only prob is that they broke apart easily!
