my nick name is chefboy,,for those who I have not met. Which seems to be most of the people on here
I have been brought over by Splitfyre from Clbvibes and Collegeclub. He has been my best friend for almost 9 years now, and he just recently made me a moderator of the digital Kitchen, sports, and the dating game.... and maybe more in the future :p )
now a little bit about me,, I got my nick back in 93 when I decided that I wanted to cook professionally, I have about 10 years of cooking under my belt so if you have any questions or want a specific recipe,, just ask and I will give it you... I am an avid sports fan, you will notice later on that Splitfyre likes to put down my Ottawa Senators, but what does he know he like the Flyers :D

Chefboy, I have a friend who'd like to become a chef only he has absolutely no experience outside of his own kitchen. What's the best way for him to start??

Just FYI, the Splitfyre vs. Chefboy (Senators vs. Flyers) scrap has been moved to Sport Central. Here's the linkage:
Amandabobanda... Chefboy will be able to definitely give some insight on this :)

Hey everyone, I sat and read through what people posted about themselves so I'd know where everyone is coming from.
My name is Dylan and I found the board through Kevin (Splitfyre) because we both work for the same company. I've actually been working out of our Australian office for the last 10 months on a 12 month contract... they offered me a new contract on for an additional year but I miss Canada and my friends too much. So despite cash and other incentives they throw at me I'll be back home in March 2002.
I doubt anyone will have a very clear picture of who I am or what I'm like simply by what I can post on this forum... but I'll give it a shot anyways:
(I always hate doing this because everyone identifies themselves with either their career or their hobbies... if you really want to know me - then meet up with me. Speaking of which it'd be cool if Futurelooks had a get together at Boston Pizza or something.)
I've been working with a CRM company for the last 3 years and before that I had two other major jobs. The first job I got by volunteering my time with them until they offered me a full-time salaried position. I then left to work with someone I met at work because they needed help with their start-up company. I eventually left them to get to the CRM company I work with today.
They send me all over the place to do professional services type of work and I manage our technical support department in Australia. I've been to many cities in 7 different countries doing tihs work. In the last four years though I have been working absolutely stupid hours (off and on) completing a software project in my home-based business.
After the last four years of sacrifice (time away from my friends and family - which matter more than anything else) I finally get to start selling this software I've been making - March 2002. I'm taking part-time work when I get back... the first step to being able to dedicate 100% of my time to my own business.
When I can drag myself away from my work I spend my time doing the following stuff:
Surfing, tennis, toying with or driving my ride, camping, snowboarding/skiing/skateboarding, kneeboarding/tubing, bungy-sports, computer gaming and anything else exciting....
I''m pretty outgoing, I always joke around.
Really though, you have to know me - to know me. <grin>
