It seems as though I've seen lots of stories as of late about published cookbooks that have gone wrong with those behind the stoves cooking meals!
Seems as though Emeril's cookbook had one recipe where the sauce was a little too runny, where as some other cookbook had a recipe that was completely unfinished (oops..someone forgot that extra cup of coffee for the early morning final edit of that book! :p )
What are some good valid cookbooks? I prefer getting most of my recipes from Epicurious (http://www.epicurious.com)

yeah I saw that at your house Split,, I was quite shocked,,, but then again unless I am baking,, I only follow recipes for the ingredients..... I think that I can figure it out. But my mom has a recipe and if she just gives it to you without her explaining some stuff it won't work out!

Kinda like making perogies with my grandma. She has a specific recipe but you have to cook with her as she doesn't have it written down and alot of the times for cooking are out the window as this is serious cooking and you have to watch all the food as it bakes for the most part.

it's like the perogy dough recipe is a secret,, no one is allowed to know it unless you are part of the family.
