With Core i7 being the hot platform of the moment, pricing makes budget platforms appealing as well as profitable. That’s an area ASRock (http://www.asrock.com/) has repeatedly found to be a great place to market since we can’t all afford $250 plus motherboards to go with our Core i7 processors. That’s why the under $200 price of the ASRock X58 Extreme (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=X58%20Extreme&s=) is such an attractive proposition.

Thanks Fw. Seems I'm showing up once a month. LOL. Sorry about that. ;) Work and weather have conspired to make my summer a work and rest fest. Shoot.

Based on all of the great reviews for this MB, I have ordered 3 of them from Newegg. Newegg is probably the only US outlet for the boards and they rarely have them in stock. Don't understand ASRock. They get great reviews and their product is the lowest cost X58 board, yet they cannot supply them to vendors in quantity. Newegg got only 40 of them in its latest shipment which lasted about an hour before they were sold out.

I may be nuts but 2 of these boards are for my law office. Don't do gaming but I like the fastest PCs. Will be using the Intel X-25M 2nd gen SSDs for them as soon as they are released at the end of the month. I don't think you can find a faster combination.
