anyone ever make anything with phyllo pastry??? any tips?? my sister and neice are coming down next week and we;re having a HUGH (italian) family bbq as we do every year and i wanted to make some chicken rolls with phyllo and samosas....

I've only ever made spinach pie with it. The kind we got, I had to wrap in a damp towel before I could use it, because it was too thin and would tear too easily otherwise. Of course, it's pretty thin and tears easily, anyway.
Guess that wasn't much help, now was it? Sorry, it's late. I thought I had something when I started typing... :rolleyes:

you can make spanicapita with phyllo pastry,, it has a spinach and cheese filling :)
or if you have time you can make baclava,, it is my favourite Greek dessert :D

*L* That's spanokopita ...my ex's mom made the best spinach pies...*drool* spinach and feta cheese filling...I'm sure there was other stuff , but I have no idea how she made 'em.

my recipe turns out great....warning phyllo must be covered with damp cloth when left out to use and must be handled with care!!:eek:
