I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the graphics. The attention to detail is phenomal!! Definitely a beautiful looking game. Unfortunately I've only played a couple of hours of it so far.

Question: Why do the characters only wear white undies??

I was impressed with DOA3 for similar reasons to yours (excellent graphics/attention to detail). Of course the flaw with the game lies in the XBox controller -- really hard to work with at times in this game.

Yeah, I'm not having too much fun with the potato controller.

There is a trick controller available, but I'm not sure how it works.

Apparently there are "hidden" characters and costumes to be found in DoA!!

With the DOA series there has always been secret costumes as that is what it tries to use to make it different from other fighters. The potato controller will definitely give anyone wrist problems after several hours of playing Xbox games. :(

That is in interesting tidbit of info ('bout the costume thing). I haven't really played video games since NES was around.

So, I can't help but get excited now!!!!! !!!!! :p

Well let's take a look here to add to this idea:

DOA - it actually sported the action that women's breasts would
bounce in the game. Also the costume ability started in
this version.
DOA 2 - the option above was removed in this version.

And when you look at its relative challengers lets see what they offer up:

Street Fighter

The "Mario" game franchise for Capcom, where everyone was introduced to the Hi-chuk, ro-chuk spin kick and the Har-Yu-Ken psychotic upper-cut from the main characters of Ryu and Ken.
What number are they on now? Street Fighter Ultra Turbo Super X2?

Tekken

Since Street Fighter was mainly seen on SNES, Sony had to come up with their franchise fighter title. Tekken sported to be one of the most complex fighters. Now with Tekken Tag as their latest version, it seems as though Tekken and DOA are probably the leading two fighters as I think Street Fighter is close to death.

Who can't forget this title when it first hit the arcades in the early 90s. I remember my friends and I skipping class every now and then to play the game. We wanted to find out all the codes so we could sell them at school for extra lunch money. It was weird how so many people tried to do Kano's finishing move, which consisted of ripping the opponents heart out. This franchise
literally ended after MK3.

Thrill Kill

A game that was to never see the light of the console. A few friends of mine got a hold of the title as it was released on a different label, and I wasn't exactly thrilled as the game had so much hype surrounding the name. Either way, who cares!
