Help!

I have a cousin whose graduating from college this spring, and I need to get him a gift...it's got to be meaningful and pratical!!

Got any ideas that'll cost ~$100 (in Canadian funds)?

No pens, cologne, business card holders, figurines, or anything that says "Grad 2002". Something cool would be nice but prices usually go up as the coolness factor rises...

(Yes, I like to start shopping early... )

What would you want??

What kinds of things does he like? This will help the growing community to assist you in gift ideas.

Groceries? It sucks to have to buy your own.

What kind of dude is he? What's he into? Typically if he is into something, you want to stay away from that category. Why? Because usually when someone is kind of into something, they have specific tastes and preferences in that category that you may not be aware of, then it just become a waste of your time.

How about something practical? Does he have something that is absolutely falling apart that you could replace for around $100 bucks?

He likes pretty much anything...he's an easygoing guy who has everything he needs!!

His gift will have to be somewhat portable, too since he'll be living in a dorm next year.

Hmm...a manly gift would be nice...I'm really at a loss...it's already taken me long enough to think of Christmas and birthday gifts for him. Those 2 occasions are 2 days apart..!!

You could always buy him a drill bit set. Then again it might be too manly for him!

If he's living in a dorm, I say get him a Bar Fridge! Or even a Microwave! He'll love you for it. I wish I had one when I was living in a dorm.

Let's see...he's into cooking...reading...skiing...pop music...

His gift will need to be suitable for air travel into the USA...! And it has to be symbolic of the occasion!! And practical would be really good...he has enough junk already....

And he's not a poor student, so anything that's falling apart, he's probably replaced. He's also a real people person, though. Hmm. I wonder if he'd want a webcam...

Okay, I've decided on getting him a book (can't remember the name of it but should be useful for his future endeavours) and a leather passport holder.

Where can I find a nice leather passport holder (online/in a real store...don't care :) )??

gift cert. are great, rest.'s, shopping (safeway), clothing stores, or an all-in-one gift basket, with all the little things he likes
