I've been using the E510 for quite awhile now (2004), but it's clearly missing some of the newer features like continuous shot and higher resolution video. What would be a good replacement? I have no idea about camera...stuff or what to look for really. The reason I have the E510 was because it was the next one down from the flagship E550 at the time (fewer MP I believe).

SuperAl,
It might help if we knew what you would be using the camera for. Inside shots? Outside shots? Sunny days? Cloudy days?
Also, how did you like using the Fuji E510? Did it have all the features you are looking for?
Do you feel the need to step up to a digital SLR or will you continue to have the need for the pocket sized digital cameras?
Do you ever print pictures or is this strictly to be used in a digital domain such as the internet?
Finally, if you do print pictures, how large do you want to enlarge them to?
With the answers to these questions I might be able to direct you to a camera that will do all you want it to do. I spent thirty years with photography as a hobby. I spent the past fifteen years as a freelance photojournalist (motorcycles, paid and published). I worked in a camera store here in Denver for almost two years so I know a little about how to help you find the camera that will do what you need it to do.
And just an FYI, I've found that it's the person behind the camera that makes the great pictures, not the equipment itself.
So I'll be happy to help, but I need a few more details.
