Do any of you have a portable DVD player? I am considering purchasing to use on long trips in the car (for my 1yo son) I am just wondering if the screen will be too small for him to get a good view. Plus, won't the sun make it tough for him to see?

Any thoughts? If you have a portable DVD player, which one do you have?

Thanks!

If I remember right, when I was a kid, it didn't matter what size the screen was as long as I had my cartoons.

as for a 1 yo kid, I don't think he would care how big the screen is, as long as he see it.

I must be getting old!

But what I was getting at is that I enjoyed watching TV on the little 9 inch black and white as much as I enjoyed watching it on the bigger 26 growing up. I don't think the player matters.

Actually, we had one, until it died. My kids never complained about the size of the screen and it was somewhat shaded, so they never complained about the sun either. They were happy to be in "lala" land on the long journey. It also kept the fighting down some, which helped Mom and Dad relax and enjoy the trip, too. ;) :D

We are planning on getting one soon for our sons. I have a friend that has two and she puts up those sun shades when needed and really has had no problem with not being able to see the screen because of the sun.
