Is this a case of a famous celebrity getting good service, or is it a case of a celebrity getting service because he's a celebrity. I'm sure Mr. Wheaton gets favours all the time from fans of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Even an Apple Employee called him up to apologize and help him out. He lost all his music purchased through iTunes, and then Apple hits a big red switch and gives it all back to him.

You decide:

iTunes 7 crapped on all my music! It sounds like garbage! Revert to save... revert to save... good thing I keep that version 6 installer backup.

Of course they're giving him special treatment cause he's a celeb.

Ya think? I call bullshit on Apple's call him up and help him out tactic. Nobody gets called by Apple unless they are getting sued.

AH great for him, but what about all the dissatisifed customers they have out here in the "real" world? As great as celebrity business is for publicity you can't forget it's the everday stiff's who bring in the business and keep buying their products.

BTW I hate the Ipod!

I'm hating my iPod too...it crapped out. I've had it for 14 months (2 months after the warranty is done, it craps out...) I'm angry as hell. I haven't sent it in yet. Grrr. Im ready to pitch it.

Oh yeah, I think Wil Wheaton got special treatment because he's a celeb. There's no way Apple would call me (or any average joe blow) and apologize for having a crappy product.
