Just found this recipe...I think I will have to try :D mmm....

3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered lengthwise
3/4 cup white sugar, or to taste
1 1/2 cups white wine (or champagne)

Directions

1 Place strawberries into a medium bowl. Dust with sugar, then pour the wine over them. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.

2 Let the strawberries stand at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes before serving. Spoon berries into 6 dessert cups, and distribute the remaining wine over the berries.

Mmmm.....if I ever have any say at a dinner party, we're having that for dessert!!!! That sounds yummy!

I don't know what it is, but champagne and strawberries go *so* well together, like wine and cheese!! :D

Sounds like a great romantic date dessert....sorry but strawberries eaten seductively have on occasion been known to work wonders on members of the opposite sex...now imagine them drenched in wine...

its the way we eat the strawberries that does it, if you ate a banana in the way we eat strawberries that would work too! :lol:
