Tempura is pretty easy...
Flour, a bit of salt, and mix ICE COLD water until the mixture is the consistency of buttermilk. Make sure the mixture is ICE COLD.
Use Corn Oil for frying and make sure it is as hot as you can get it. Flower up the veggies, and add just a few sprinkles of baking powder. Drop in a few veggies at a time, then pull them up, letting them drip till a nice, thin, uniform coat of batter is on the veggies. Place them in the hot oil gently, and fry till golden. Make sure there is enough oil that it covers the veggies fully.
For the sauce, just get the stuff from the T & T. Ranch dressing would also work. Should take you about 20 minutes to setup and cook. Voila!

LOL, Sunny, I feel so sorry for you -- maybe you should consider finding yourself a nice MILF to help you out? :D
Weeknight meals for me are usually along the lines of:
- Yaki Soba (10 minutes)
- Japanese Curry (20 minutes)
- Tuscan-Style Smoked Salmon Wine Sauce Pasta (25 minutes)
- Chicken soup w/ matzo ball (10 minutes)
- Oyako Don (15 minutes)
- Fish n Chips (20 minutes)
Let me know if you want the instructions for any of these...
I hate instant noodles. My dad made me eat that crap whenever my mom wasn't around to cook. Why do you think I started cooking?

Hey Sunny!
You aren't the guy driving around in Richmond in the white WRX with the gold rims, lowered suspension, no spoiler, and a noticeably louder BOV are you?

Nope! stock looking car for me, other than Nerdco's WRX sway bar.
If you see a '02 RS w/ gold rims, that's the "other" Sunny. I think the white WRX belongs to Bavaria or something. Oi... too many white '02s around ricing things up.

For how good it is, I'll admit that Chicken Parmesan (sp?) isn't too hard to make at all.
(I've made this a few times after being taught, and it takes about an hour (including cooking time). Combine it with your favorite pasta, and boy is it tasty. :D

Ack, sorry Sunny, I completely overlooked your post.
Anyway, here goes...
Yaki Soba:
- 1 bag yaki soba (usually in the fridge case near the tofu at T&T, etc.)
- Carrot (small)
- Onion (small, or half large)
- Celery (1 or 2 sticks)
- Some protein thing -- I like to use vegetarian cha siu (BBQ pork)
Chop carrots, onion, and celery into sticks, like 5 cm by 1 cm or so. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add onion and protein thing. Fry until slightly caramelized. Add carrots and celery. Lightly fry, then put the veggies into a bowl. Put another tbsp of oil into the pan, heat slightly, then add the noodles. Fry about a minute, then add 3/4 cup water (assuming you used 3 pouches of noodles). Wait for the water to absorb, then add the vegetables and meat. Add the sauce packet(s), mix, and cook until evenly heated.
Takes about 15 minutes start to finish.
----
Fish and chips
- Frozen fish and chips (comes in a box)
- Malt vinegar
- Ketchup
- Pre-washed Salad (optional, but helps to break up the grease)
Heat oven to 425 F, follow directions on box. Prepare salad (I recommend washing again, unless E.Coli and Hepatitis are your old friends). Dinner should be ready in about 25 minutes.

Hey Sunny, u ever going to pay me for that swaybar or what?

There is one thing that I have gotten quite addicted to lately, and it's actually off the back of a cambells soup can.
Fry up some *boneless* chicken or *boneless* porkchips in a frying pan until they're golden brown.
When that's down, take 1 can of mushroom soup plus half a cup of water and pour it over top, let it simmer * I let it boil so it goes quicker * and when it's gone down quite a bit, and the soup part is somewhat thick turn it off. Ta da.
And then you just have to decide what to have it with.
I'm incredibly lazy, I just opened a can of corn and had it with that :\
