With more internet browsers to choose from, I just wanted to find out what everyone prefers...

I used to love Netscape when IE sucked. Now I can't stand it.

Ahh the memories of Netscape 1.0, when I was coding on bbEdit 1.0 from Bare Bones Software to do all my HTML coding back in 94.

There is only one browser for me...

IE!

Right now I only use IE. I should use others!! :o

I used to be a web designer and to this day I have nightmares of about making websites netscape/IE compatible. I'm getting mad just thinking about it.

Note the obvious lack of table support, let alone virtually any type of formatting (probably heading codes work though). Whenever I tried going to this thread in Netscape 1.0, it GPF'd on me. :)

I prefer to use Internet Explorer,,,, it doesn't crash as often as netscape

That is sweet. Wish I had a CF Ethernet card for my iPaq as I'd love to be able to check out our forums on some of the mini browsers! :p

Lynx baby Lynx! If I need graphics, I still prefer IE than Netscape (4.x now, haven't tried 6.x) even with all the security holes - support for CSS is much better and rendering is quite fast.

IE 6 is what I'm using, since it came with Windows XP.

I don't like alternate browsers like Opera...... just like I can't stand Linux (too different for my tastes). :)

I.E. is great however I like Opera 6.0 as its screaming fast.. only downfall is it likes to segregate the java component!? There should be no question as to if you want to download that extra component, it should just be there ... period.

To be honest, I'm fed up with sites that have lots of graphics. I mean, yes I don't run the latest and greatest machine and I do have DSL - but those sites just kills my PC doing rendering (and it swaps like crazy). That's one big reason I prefer text based browser unless I want to see pictures.

I agree!! And sites that use Flash tick me off. Usually the "Skip intro" doesn't even work!!

Yep, those guys who designed the pages must have been spoiled by high bandwidth and processing power....
