Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX®-Certified Speakers

"If you care about music, the first thing you need to do is throw out those speakers that were bundled with your system. That's it! Throw them right out the window! It's time to make that machine of yours sound like a monster. As someone who has converted totally to living out of their notebook, no one knows crappy sounding speakers than me. The speakers that come on most notebooks aren't great, and definitely weren't meant to power a party."

"On the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX or 5.1, 4.1, do any of them have a headphone jack? So you could plug your headphones on at night?? Thanks"

Answer:

You bet!

The Klipsch has an input on the side of the Preamp loaded satellite that allows you to plug in a set of headphones, and even another audio source, like a CD player. That means that while your PC is off, you could be reading a book, and listening to a CD without your PC being on. I didn't try it specifically for this purpose, but it does sound way cleaner coming out of this jack than a PC. Kind of like having a nice 200 watt headphone amp.
