Before the Euro I had the opportunity to travel and found some interesting bills and coins. In particular I remember changing my money into Lira and I had some left over coins when I got back from my trip... I ended up using them for parking meters here since they were worth nothing to me, because I wouldn't be travelling back to Europe for several years. Some of the coins back then were the same size as a Canadian loonie. :P

Ooh ooh!! I collect foreign money. Dunno why I just do. I have some weird coin. Next time you save some for me!! :P

I believe I kept some of my coins from the various countries I visited in Europe -- just have to dig 'em up. :)

(France, Italy, Germany would be the main ones).

I have all sorts of foreign currency. Most of it is useless except for the USD of course....world wide currency ya know.

i knoe about have'en lots of coin that i can't use any more! i went to europe twice in 2 yrs and i have coin and bills! but tomas cook the exchange place wont take the coin! :( but i can't complain they serve as a nice reminder of some really good memories!
