"With all these colour printers out on the market, who has time for black and white anymore? Well, we made time to check this one out. It's got some great features including wireless connectivity."

I think at the time of the review Samsung's top of the line B&W laser is the ML-2550 series as opposed to the reviewed ML-2150 one. The review did not touch on the expansions: tray and memory.
First, to find the 128MB memory upgrade one has to sweat. At the moment SimpleTech is the only provider that has a 128MB module for around $65 at Amazon. However, the printer's firmware has bugs and identifies 128MB as 256MB. In general, the memory compatibility is really bad. Odd, as Samsung makes memory too.
Second, the duplexer print quality is bad. It leaves short white lines on the opposite side. Looks like white rain. This may be due to the buggy PCL6 driver, cartridge, or firmware. I used the PCL6 driver v1.22, but as of this writing, Samsung posted v1.26. I shall try that.
Once you actually use the printer, the conclusions may be different. I suggest a review update to account for these and other observations.

Actually it IS the top of the line "Wireless Enabled" as quoted in the review...
"Instead of just giving us another regular, plain jane, black and white laserjet, Samsung sent us something a little more special. Something that was small, that could hold a lot of paper, and that was wireless. We got the Samsung ML-2152W, Samsung's top of the line wireless enabled printer."
...which it is. I didn't say it was their top of the line Black and White Laser, which it isn't.
Also, the reason why a 256 MB memory module is only read as 128 MB is because it only expands to 144 MB (the internal 16 PLUS the 128 MB extra). It is not a mistake, not an error, not a firmware error. It was designed only for an extra 128 MB because it is only reading one side of the 256 MB module. Please see for yourself on the Samsung Website's specification page for this printer...

So stop sweating. It wasn't meant to be.
Your last point about the print quality of the duplex puzzles me because I sit here looking at the print quality of both duplex and non duplex pages, I can only come to the conclusion that it could be the paper (not the right type, or too thin) that you are using or that there is something wrong with the printer you have. I experienced none of this "White Rain" that you have observed. Sorry. Drivers were the ones that came in the box with the printer. Version 1.22.
About expansion, well, I did mention it in the features segment:
http://www.futurelooks.com/display.php?i=263&p=2
"Increased Paper Capacity - The ML-2152W holds 100 pages in its mulipurpose tray, 500 in the printing cassette, and another 500 pages in an optional second cassette for a total of 1,100 pages of paper capacity"
I'm sorry that I didn't touch on it more, but because I didn't have the optional part, I really didn't see any need to do more.
Thanks for all the comments, but I stand by my review. :thumb:
