United Devices (http://www.ud.com) has an application which searches for a cure for cancer. This is similar for those who've been using Seti, the search for E.T.

Because United Devices is searching for a cure to cancer, I've set up a group on United Devices (http://www.ud.com) for Futurelooks.

Basically, you install the software and join the Futurelooks group. What it does is the UD agent sits in your taskbar and whenever you are not using your machine, UD downloads packets to your machine to process as this basically allows UD to share out the computing work needed to find the cure. You can run UD as a screensaver. I currently have UD running on all 4 of my machines to help towards the cause, plus I think the screensaver is really cool.
