Samsung MCD-MP67 CD MP3 Player (Page 1 of 1)

Price: $129.99 USD
Company: Samsung

Sleek, classy and downright good-looking?

Our friends at Samsung have designed a great little CD player that's not only sleek and attractive but also plays back MP3 CDs as well as regular ones. Which means you can go on and on with about 8 hours of music on one CD (make sure you bring some extra batteries), that's great.

Does it work as good as it looks?

The MCD-MP67 comes packed with a couple of nice little features, for example; an SBS function which gives you that extra bit of oomph to your low end (BASS). An ESP function that will give you 100 secs Anti shock memory which eliminates skipping (is phased out when Voltage drops). I tried to get the player to skip several ways but in stuck in there like glue. Great job guys. It also has an album function that allows you to select a complete album in MP3 format and play it back as one item. You will find this very helpful if you have an assortment of individual tracks and full albums on your CD.

Okay, what's in the box?

The CD Yepp comes complete with the following:

  • MCD-MP67 MP3 - CD Player

  • Extra Battery Pack

  • Headphones with in line Remote Control

  • AC Adaptor

  • Carrying Case

  • User's Manual

Overall performance and final conclusions

I was very impressed by the quality of the MCD-MP67; in particular, the ESP function really caught my attention. I was not as happy with the sound quality of the headphones supplied with this unit as I was with the Mini Yepp, however having an in line remote on the wire is a nice touch. In conclusion, the stylish look combined with the overall execution and price of the MCD-MP67 I'm sure will captivate consumers everywhere.

Pros
  • Sleek and stylish appearance

  • In line remote on headphones

  • ESP 100 sec Anti-Shock Function
Cons
  • Does not show song titles

  • Size: would like to see a thinner model

  • Sound quality and volume on headphones

Useability: 7.0
Performance: 8.0
Features: 6.5
Value: 7.0

Overall: 7.1
