Awww isn't that cute!
So what do you get when you cross mini, micro age, audio technology from Samsung and the goal to produce a very small MP3 player with a very attractive streamline casing? You get “Mini Yepp” (sounds like I'm introducing a super hero). That's right folks, it may look like a sophisticated, high tech, egg of modern-day technology but it is actually Samsung's answer to the age-old phrase “big things come in small packages”.
So, how does it perform?
I would have to say, that I was pleasantly surprised with the overall sound and performance of the Mini Yepp. Its ease of use and sound quality were more than adequate in accordance to its size. Add the fact that the headphones are a dual-function string necklace; you can wear this bad boy around your neck, get good sound quality and not worry about it getting in the way.
The fact that the communication interface is through USB and comes complete with its own special software makes downloading files quick and simple.

The software is compatible with Windows 98 / 2000 / ME and Mac OS 8.6 – 9.0.4 and installation was a snap as most USB devices are.
After all that and then some!
In conclusion the Mini Yepp is a nice little piece of hardware for someone on the move who needs a very basic compact, cost-effective MP3 player.
The only down side that I found was the fact that there is no power button. The player goes into a sleep mode after a time and the battery lasts for a duration of 30 days unless removed, and the battery lasts approx. 4 hrs during play mode, I got approx. 3 – 3.5 hrs.
