After using a Canon Powershot A60 digital camera for the past year or so, I was
excited to hear about a new model for the A series cameras - the Powershot A80.
The two features that stood out to me when I first learnt about the model was
that it was 4.0MP (mega pixels) with a vari-angle LCD display.
First Impressions
The first thing that popped into my mind when I opened the box was that the
A80 looks like a baby Canon G3. Its body is heavier than the previous models,
A60 and A70 due to the metal body this one is enclosed in. The other thing
that I could not wait for was to try out the vari-angle LCD display. Just like
the Canon G3 camera, this one you can rotate the LCD display a wonderful 270°.
What is in the box?
- Digital Camera PowerShot A80
- Wrist Strap
- 4 AA-type Alkaline Batteries
- USB Cable
- Video Out Cable
- 32 MB Compact Flash Card (Type I)
- Software (CD-Rom)
- Manuals
