Corsair is already topping many PC DIY categories. And at CES 2014, they continue the march into the peripheral market. Their previous mechanical keyboards and gaming mice have made a big impact for PC gamers, but are still priced on the higher end of the spectrum. This year, Corsair unleashes new Raptor series peripherals with a smaller price tags, but with the same size teeth.

The new Raptor K40 and Raptor M45 Optical Gaming Mouse (shown above) may be just what you need to bring your game up a few notches. The Raptor M45 Gaming Mouse is a 5000 DPI (Pixart PMW3310 sensor), with soft touch surface, extra-large glide pads, and is more agile than its Vengeance counterpart, the M65. It also has the same instant DPI switch as the M65 for high-speed movement and high accuracy fire. The Raptor M45 gaming mouse will be available by the end of January 2014 at an MSRP of $59.99 US with a 2 year warranty.

The perfect companion to the Raptor M45 is the Raptor K40 gaming keyboard with full spectrum back lighting (16.8 million colors) and rubber domed switches. You still get all the great gaming goodies like the 100% anti-ghosting, 6 programmable gaming keys, on-board memory for up to 3 profiles, and dedicated multimedia keys. Ok, that last one has nothing to do with gaming but is nice to have. You can expect to see this Raptor out of its cage this January 2014 as well with an MSRP of $79.99 US and 2 year warranty.

If these Raptors are something you want to capture, then you won’t have long to wait. A quick search on Corsair’s site shows the K40 already listed for sale for only $59.99, and the M45 Optical mouse for the same price. These are great high-quality alternatives to many higher priced mechanical keyboards and laser mice on the market. You can find more information below and during our ongoing coverage of CES 2014.
