In all likelihood, if you've been around the PC DIY space for some length of time, then you might be familiar with the BIOSTAR name. And if you know about the BIOSTAR name, you probably associate that name with the company's motherboards. But the product portfolio extends far beyond that, now stretching into the mechanical keyboard arena with the new BIOSTAR GK3.
It's so good, apparently, that they're calling the BIOSTAR GK3 "the essential gaming keyboard." It doesn't use the industry standard Cherry MX switches, however, shaving a few bucks by opting for Outemu Blue switches instead. You should still get that clicky clacky feel that you've come to expect from a mechanical gaming keyboard, though, along with full N-key rollover and adjustable backlighting options.
This isn't some keyboard for only the l33t players with l33t budgets, because the BIOSTAR GK3 is set to retail for just $44.99. They want it to be a "durable and responsive keyboard aimed at the masses." Despite the more affordable price point, you get premium features like the aluminium metallic body and swappable keycaps in a waterproof and dust-proof keyboard.
