Wireless peripherals have been around for a few years and have become
increasingly more feature-packed. The ability to leave those cords behind for a
whole new world of freedom with more powerful optics comes at a price though: battery consumption. So what does one do when you want flexibility and comfort of a wireless mouse but you don't want to bother with the hassle that batteries bring?
According to A-4 Tech
, you make a wireless mouse that doesn't require batteries. Genius, but how well does this new technology really work? That's what we're here to find out today. We've taken their top of the line NB-99 Battery Free wireless mouse and put it through weeks of
gruelling gaming and office use to see how it stands up to real world challenges. This is what we found.
Packaging and Contents
As soon as we received the mouse we snapped a picture of the package.
It's actually quite well done, and punches the point home on the big features.
At first glance the packaging looks like your average every day blister
packed product. Upon further inspection the plastic backing was found to be perforated with a small tab on the top.
So instead of cutting up our fingers trying to wrestle the package, it came
apart cleanly.
After opening the packaging completely we find that the A4 Tech NB-99 Mouse also comes with a mouse pad and driver CD. You can basically see everything you get without opening the package: what you see is what you get!
Next, on to how this this innovative mouse works!
