As the clock hit 9PM, John Chow from The Tech Zone leads our distinguished guests down the long hallway to our fabulous Skyloft Suite located at the MGM Grand Hotel here in Las Vegas.
The "Night Before CES Party", which happens the evening before the show kicks off on the Monday, has morphed from a friendly gathering of a few friends, to one of the hottest parties at CES. In fact, it has become so hot, that it was necessary to limit attendance to strict invitation only so if you didn't get invited, well, sorry about that.
Originally masterminded by John Chow from The Tech Zone and Tyler Dikman from Cooltronics, the party has attracted publicity from major media like CNN, G4TechTV, and Newsweek. Sponsors line up each year to get a piece of the action. Returning this year as a sponsor is OCZ Technology and HOT new company BigFoot Networks.
Due to the growth of the event, Futurelooks manned up and co-hosted the party with The Tech Zone. We also had Bob Buskirk from Thinkcomputers join in the hosting duties making this a triple threat of Webzines. Being able to sponsor this party allowed us to not invite who we wanted, but it also allowed us to thank the companies that have made our sites the successes that they are. Since this party was invite only, we've decided to give you a peek behind the scenes at this year's "Night Before CES Party".
