VIZO Ninja Laptop Cooler Review

  Submitted: 11-29-2006

 Summary:
Ouch! Hot laptop! As most laptop owners know, systems can get pretty hot to the touch. So hot, that you never want them anywhere near your lap. The VIZO Ninja laptop cooler can help things cool down a bit while being silent like a Ninja. Built of solid aluminum, the Ninja is also durable, but will it be the right cooler for you?

I've seen and used many computer accessories from overseas companies, but the products from VIZO have impressed me the most. Their selection of products from fans, enclosures, peripherals and  coolers all have shown impressive design. When I was asked do check out the VIZO Ninja Laptop Cooler, I was eager to take on the assignment.

As a  user, I notice that my  gets hotter the more I used it. Long term heat problem can result in problems like hard drive failure. The VIZO Ninja Laptop cooler is a great ways to cool your . With a name link Ninja, one would think that it would not only be cool looking, but also silent while doing it.  Let's find out how well it performs.

In The Box

The box is wrapped in vibrant colours and a brilliant picture of the product on the front. The specifications are clearly printed on the back of the box, and the main selling features like the aluminum casing, low dBA level, and ergonomic designed angle take center stage.

In the box comes two pieces: The Ninja  cooler pad and the USB power cable. One thing that I did not expect from as Asian company was the quality packaging material used. The packaging material is formed so that the  cooler fits perfectly into it. In addition to that, a secondary box is used to further protect the contents.

There are no instructions the box.  However, there always be a manual to show users how to setup the unit up.  One of the things that I felt should be in this missing manual was the decrease in battery performance if the Ninja is hooked to a battery powered laptop.  The Ninja runs straight off the USB connector so it will draw power and reduce your running time.  Of course, people don't know that unless you tell them, even if it makes sense.  Always think about all the users, not just some of them.
