Twins Basil! Twins!
I've been fortunate enough to experience, first hand, the habits of the North
American Booth Babe at both
CES in Las Vegas and most famously,
E3 in LA.
But nothing prepared me for my experience with the creative use of Booth Babes
at COMPUTEX 2006. I'd like to share with you some of my observations.
Booth Babes Know What They Are Representing...Most of the Time...
At E3 and CES, booth babes are only there to do one thing: Make you drool and
draw them into their booths. They know nothing about the product they
represent. Some even make it up. At COMPUTEX, you have the regular
booth babes, but you also have the representing ones that direct the eye candy
ones so that she can gain an audience to do a presentation. They'll do
games and give out prizes, and yes they will of course, pose for pictures.

On the subject of presentations, booth babes from competing companies will
even duel with each other. They'll roam the floor and setup either right
beside the competitors booth, or they'll set right up to a competing roaming
group and present right over the group, cranking up the volume.
Booth Babes Roam In Packs...

There is nothing that gets your attention like a whole pack of booth babes.
That's why companies like ATI will employ groups of them to roam the floor and
the streets. They'll hand out brochures and tell you where the booth is,
but mostly, they are there to be followed...straight to the booth.
Other Interesting Booth Babe Tidbits...
One thing that is the biggest difference between the North American Booth
Babe Population and the COMPUTEX one is that there are no Caucasian booth babes.
In fact, the only company that had Caucasian booth babes had to fly them in.
XFX was the only company that didn't have Asian Booth Babes.

The newest booth babe phenomena was what I have termed the "Aggressive
Booth Babe". I experienced this early in the show, as I'm strolling
by, the aggressive booth babe came right up in my face and grabbed me by the
shirt and said: "Ahh...I likee your Superman Shirt..." while her other hand
shoves the company propaganda into my hand. Although not unpleasant by any
means, I was truly surprised by this latest tactic as I've heard of no one else
documenting this behaviour.
Now that we've written some words about them, let us enjoy them in high
resolution at the
